“Oraniyil Tamil Nadu” Campaign Surpasses 50 Lakh Enrollments – Karur Led by V. Senthil Balaji Secures Second Position

Chennai / Karur, Tamil Nadu – The DMK’s flagship mass outreach campaign, “Oraniyil Tamil Nadu,” has crossed a major milestone, enrolling over 50 lakh members across the state. Among the top-performing constituencies, Karur, under the leadership of former minister V. Senthil Balaji, secured the second position in total enrollments.

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin Leads the Drive

DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the campaign with a door-to-door voter outreach in Alwarpet, Chennai, and later in Thiruvarur. The campaign engages residents through six core questions centered on Tamil culture, state autonomy, and effective governance under the Dravidian model.

Tiruchuli Ranks First, Karur Stands Out

While Tiruchuli constituency topped the list with 54,310 new members from 30,975 families, Karur Assembly constituency, led by V. Senthil Balaji, closely followed as the second-highest contributor to the campaign. The performance was officially acknowledged by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin during his visit to Karur.

Karur’s success is attributed to:

Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has urged other districts to intensify their efforts and surpass the benchmarks set by Tiruchuli and Karur. He emphasized the importance of ground-level mobilization in preparation for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.
