With the gracious announcement of a 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) increase benefiting 1.6 lakh government employees, teachers, pensioners, and family pensioners, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thalapathy M.K. Stalin extended his good wishes as the Karur District Tamil Nadu Government Employees Association inaugurated its newly constructed “Kalaivanar N.S. Krishnan Illam” today.The inauguration event was attended by Karur District Collector Mr. M. Thangavel, IAS, TNGEA District President Mr. M.S. Anbalagan, District Secretary Mr. Pon. Jayaram, along with TNGEA state and district administrators and association members.

The Union BJP government, which has consistently neglected Tamil Nadu and its people by refusing to allocate educational funds for Tamil Nadu students and by showing discrimination in the distribution of GST revenue, has now further betrayed the State by stalling the much-needed Coimbatore–Madurai Metro Rail projects. Acting on the directive of the party president and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thalapathy M.K. Stalin, a massive protest was organised today by the Secular Progressive Alliance at Race Course Road near the Red Cross Society in Coimbatore. The demonstration condemned the Union BJP government for deliberately obstructing Tamil Nadu’s growth and development.

With the gracious blessings of the Hon’ble Party President and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thalapathy Thiru M.K. Stalin, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a new Urban Primary Health Centre building at Ward 2, Periya Kulathupalayam, and for a new passenger shelter at the Five Roads junction in Ward 11, Palammalpuram, under the Karur Assembly Constituency and Karur Municipal Corporation. The event was attended by Karur District Collector Thiru M. Thangavel, I.A.S., Hon’ble MLAs, representatives of local bodies, and members of the public.

As another proud milestone for Coimbatore, the Semmozhi Park—spread across 45 acres and constructed at an estimated cost of ₹167.25 crore on the premises of the Central Prison grounds in Gandhipuram—is set to be inaugurated for public use on November 26 by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thalapathy Thiru M.K. Stalin. Ahead of the inauguration, the Hon’ble Minister for Municipal Administration, Thiru K.N. Nehru, visited the site today and thoroughly reviewed the ongoing developmental works, ensuring every facility is ready for the public.
